New security hole in Windows 7.
A new vulnerability has been discovered in the subsystem of Windows Canonical Display Driver (Graphics Device Interface (GDI)), responsible for rendering the user interface. Subject engaging interface "Aero", an attacker could potentially gain control of a remote machine, call it a reboot or "freeze" the operating system.
At the moment, the only way to protect yourself from potential threats is by disabling the system interface "Aero", which is a client version of Windows 7 is enabled by default, the server version is optional. According to Microsoft, the new vulnerability was awarded 3 out of 5 points hazard, and patch that closes it, should appear within a month.
