    Speed up p.c. slow run?

    hi, i am trying to fresh format my windows vista (with a windows xp cd cus its all i have) but it doesnt work because... when i boot from the cd and unload all the files, it says 'starting windows' but then tells me to restart because theres probably a virus that forbids me from starting windows. and its true, theres a virus which is why im trying to reformat my computer... the virus doesnt let me do anything except buy the antivirus software, which i know it just a trick. please help... very important for what i need to do tomorrow .. oh god..

    you should start the computer in safe mode and try a system restore.

    I suggest you run the computer in Safe Mode and then run an Anti-Virus program. After that your problem should be fixed. If not, then proceed with a system restore.

    I had the same problem on my computer some time back and I did the same things which Archit is suggesting. Worked for me!

    Unhappy here is the solution for it

    hey buddy its the simple problem...uninstall the heavy applications and try the best antivirus.

    I have nothing to add to the last posts, you should definitely start in Safe Mode and run an antivirus, and you should also try MalwareBytes anti-malware software, which will clean your computer from Malware as well as the viruses that your normal antivirus will find.
